So, here it is. The ultimate question. The question I'm sure many people have been wanting me to address for some time now.

Should I get Facebook?

Now, anyone who knows me personally will know that I have expressed my disdain for Facebook on more than one occasion. I just don't see the point; after all, isn't it just another social networking site? Won't there just be a new, better one in a year or two?

Almost every time I meet someone, it's their first question. "Do you have Facebook?" Because everyone has it, and that's the reason that I'm so torn.

I don't want to sign up because everyone has it. I really don't want to be another leech on this trend. On the other hand, everyone has it. It's undoubtedly an excellent way (and in some cases, the ONLY way) of keeping in touch with people, and there are a quite a few friends I don't want to lose track of.

So, to be clear, it isn't Facebook itself that I have a problem with, it's the sheer poularity of it. I know that staying away from a trend because it's popular is just as stupid as getting in on something because it's popular, but still. It bugs me.

Anyway, since I'm not a subscriber and can't make a poll, you'll have to comment and tell me what you think. Should I just... Join?

(Keep in mind that If I do, it's not like I'm going to post it up here and go "Everyone add me now PLZ!!!" Really, this is directed more at my IRL friends, and other people that I'm close to.)
